About Yanxia Zhou
Yanxia Zhou was born in China in 1979 and studied law at East China University of Political Science and Law, where she earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 2005.
After being admitted to the Bar Association in 2007, she obtained her lawyer’s license in the People’s Republic of China in 2008. That same year, she earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2014/2015, she further enhanced her qualifications with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR).
Ms. Zhou combines legal and economic expertise, specializing in areas such as compliance, economic crime, anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and production compliance. She also has extensive experience advising on product approvals for the EU market, particularly regarding regulatory requirements and market entry strategies.
Before joining BSKP in 2015, Ms. Zhou worked as an attorney for ten years. Her career included roles at prestigious law firms such as Hemmelrath, Salans, and Yingke, as well as serving as a legal advisor for Bayer China.
During this time, she advised both Chinese and international companies on business and commercial law matters.
Ms. Zhou has supported numerous companies in China with business law challenges and compliance issues, gaining extensive experience in navigating international regulations. Her expertise includes advising Chinese companies on overseas business and investments, as well as assisting international clients in establishing and expanding their businesses in China.
